3 web-site rafweb.org/Sqn 161-165.htm shows that the Squadron code for the Lysander flight of 161 Squadron changed from MA to JR in April 1944. The ORB for 161 Squadron records that F/O Alcock was flying Lysander D for Organist, the same aircraft that he used for Pirogue in August. The aircraft used for Pirogue was clearly Lysander D (see Air Movement Card for V9748).

35 The aircraft used for this op.was the saine aircraft,V9490, that was used to bring Szabo home on 30 April 1944. Capt Per Hysing-Dahl,delayed on take-off, saw no lights at the target field and started his return to England. On the way home flew over the Normandy Beachhead and was shot down. They ditched in the Channel which resulted in the death of two of the three agents on board.
